X-Ice Mite NSYHL League
2025-2026 Cross-Ice Mites Registration
Open to players born in 2017 and after. All players will be evaluated and assigned to a Junior Railers team that participates in the Mite Level Cross-Ice North Star Youth Hockey League. Team rosters are selected based on age and overall skill to ensure competitive play at the appropriate level.
The program is a FULL SEASON program and runs from late August to late March
Player Evaluations
Player evaluations will take place on at Worcester Ice Center on April 6th & 12th.
Northstar Hockey League
All games are played at NorthStar Ice Sports in Westboro MA. Games for the NSYHL are played 4 vs 4 in a Half Ice format with Intermediate sized nets for goalies and Blue pucks. The league holds two parity round adjustments (October & November) to determine appropriate team placement to ensure competitive balance within each age division.
Practices
Junior Railers Mite players are typically on the ice 3 times per week. In addition to league games, teams will practice 2 times per week at Worcester Ice Center, or FMC Rinks.
*Some weeks may be different due to holidays and ice conflicts.
Games
Junior Railers Mite Cross-Ice teams will play between 22-25 NorthStar Youth Hockey League regular season games and playoffs. Games are on Saturday or Sunday and Monday school holidays.
Extra Costs
Junior Railers teams may play additional games or in-season tournaments not included in tuition. JRHC has a $150 fundraising requirement for all full season players.
Uniforms
Junior Railers Cross-Ice Mite players players are required to purchase 1 reversible game jersey, 1 pair of blue socks and 1 pair of gray socks. Please consult your coach prior to ordering to confirm jersey #.

U8 Cross-Ice Mite Tuition: $1,600
All players will be evaluated and assigned to a Junior Railers team that participates in the North Star Youth Hockey League (NSYHL).
Evaluations will be held at Worcester Ice Center in April 2025. Dates and times to be announced.
A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due at the time of registration and includes evaluations. (7) Monthly payments of $200 will be charged to the payment method on file beginning August 1, 2025 with the final payment due on February 1, 2026. JRHC has a $150 minimum Calendar Raffle Fundraising requirement
