The Best Learn to Play Hockey program on the planet!! The program director is former NHL star and Junior Railers Director of Hockey Operations Bobby Butler. His staff of experienced coaches will focus on FUNdamental skills such as power skating, shooting, stick handling, passing and team play.
The Junior Railers Full Season Learn to Play Program will have 50 weekend sessions at Worcester Ice Center during the 2025-2026 season!

Registration is now open for the Mite Cross Ice 2025-2026 season. This program follows the USA Hockey ADM Kids model and is open to boys and girls born in 2017 and after. All players will be evaluated and assigned to a Junior Railers team that participates in the North Star Youth Hockey League. Team rosters are selected based on age and overall skill to ensure competitive play at the appropriate level.
The program is a FULL SEASON program and runs from late August to late March
JRHC House League is designed to provide players ages 8-16 of all abilities with an opportunity to play quality, competitive hockey in a supportive, friendly environment with a level of commitment (both in terms of time and money) which is as manageable as possible.
The 2025-2026 Junior Railers House League Season will run from late September 2025 to April 2026. The season will begin with informal "Shake off the Rust" practices followed by player evaluations and pre-season parity games. The regular season includes 20-25 games and playoffs.

The Junior Railers are proud to announce David Aitken as our new VP of 8U Hockey!
David was elected at the annual meeting and will take over for Matt Cunha, who has served in the role for several seasons.
Matt will continue to play a key role in the organization as our lead scheduler and will remain behind the bench coaching both the U14 and 2014 Select teams. We’re grateful for his ongoing dedication and leadership.

The Junior Railers Hockey Club is proud to announce that Amy MacGlashing will join the Worcester White Hawks coaching staff for the 2025-2026 season at the U19 level.
Amy, a 2020 graduate of Marlborough High School had a decorated high school career, playing four years of varsity ice hockey for Algonquin Regional High School and four years of varsity softball for the Panthers. She holds the title of all-time points leader in ice hockey at Algonquin and earned multiple accolades, including 3X Worcester Telegram & Gazette and Metrowest Daily News All-Star, 2X Midland Wachusett League B All-Star and Unsung Hero Award winner in softball
At the collegiate level, Amy played four years of NCAA hockey at Worcester State University, appearing in 104 career games. She posted 7-9-16 totals in her senior year and finished her career with an impressive +38 rating. A two-time team captain, she was also named to the MASCAC All-Academic Team, recognized on the Dean’s List, and was an active member of AMP and SAAC.
All potential Coaches and Assistant Coaches for the 2025-2026 season are required to complete this application. The Junior Railers welcomes all coaches to apply including those that may be new to the organization for the coming year.
The Junior Railers Hockey Club offers all levels of hockey: Learn to Play Hockey, U8 (Cross-Ice Mite Hockey), House League, VHL Travel and AAA Hockey.

The Philip Coleman Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 to provide financial assistance to Junior Railers families who can't afford the full yearly fee. Phil believed if a kid wanted to play hockey there should be a path for that child. Click HERE to donate and help make hockey a sport for everyone!
The Junior Railers Hockey Club Board of Directors will hold its monthly open board meeting for members on Thursday May 15 at 7:00 PM at Worcester Ice Center. This meeting will be held upstairs at BayState Brewery located at Worcester Ice Center.
